Constantine II. As Caesar, AD 316-337. Æ Follis 19mm, 3.00 g. Nicomedia mint. Struck AD 328-329. Laureate, draped, and cuirassed bust left / Camp-gate with two turrets; star above; SMNΔ. RIC VII 94. Extremely Fine, some silvering.

Constantine II, the eldest son of Constantine the Great, ruled over Gaul, Britain, and Spain. His coinage is stylistically similar to his brothers’ and features common motifs like Gloria Exercitus, Victory, and military camp gates. Killed in conflict with Constans, Constantine II's short reign is primarily remembered through his abundant but historically important coinage.
